Robbie Lawler vs Tyron Woodley – Breakdown / Film Study / Highlights

In a “shocking” upset (to some :)), Tyron Woodley put Robbie Lawler in the first round @ UFC 201. With his trademark devastating right hand, he put Robbie’s lights out before Lawler could even mount an attack.

I will breakdown the very small amount of notable things that happened before it, and of course the knockout punch itself. There were certainly some subtle things I noticed before, during and after, but only have a tweet to show the before (@brendandorman).

The after is interesting in that the very night he wins, the biggest win of his entire life, he says he doesn’t want to fight fan favorite, and #1 Welterweight Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson, but instead either Nick Diaz (last win via decision over BJ Penn in 2011), or Georges St-Pierre (inactive, but the best ever) which is a bit odd, and maybe even more so annoying as a trend of late.

Without further ado…….
