Georges St-Pierre Against Nick Diaz UFC 158
The reigning UFC welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre taking on Nick Diaz. In their long overdue fight which at the time seemed to take forever to make. Diaz had repeatedly called out St Pierre as he fought his way through the division. Losing for the first time since 2008, when he faced Carlos Condit to see who was the number one contender. It would be a full year later before Diaz finally got the opportunity to face St Pierre inside the cage at UFC 158. In a clash of styles as Diaz looked to box with the TriStar fighter. In the end it was the repeated takedowns of St Pierre that were to clinch the unanimous decisions victory. St Pierre would defend his title one last time against Johny Hendricks in 2013, before retiring from the sport the same year.
