International fight Week is upon us, which also means the Ultimate Fighter Finale is here too. With a main card headlined by Michael Johnson vs Justin Gaethje. Team Alpha Male fighter Teruto Ishihara finds himself in a featherweight bout against veteran Gray Maynard. Maynard’s last time inside the cage was at the last TUF Finale in December 2016, when he suffered a loss to Ryan Hall. His last win was at yet another TUF Finale back in July 2016 when he beat Fernando Bruno in a unanimous decision victory. But overall, things have not been looking so good for “The Bully” who has amassed a total of 6 losses out of his last 8 fights. As he now seeks to get the win over the young up and comer.
Ishihara himself suffered a loss in his last outing against SBG fighter Artem Lobov in Belfast Northern Ireland. The Japanese fighter looks to right the ship against someone who has been around the game for as long as anyone. How many more miles has Maynard got in the tank?
