Garry Tonon MMA Debut || Breakdown • Skill Study • Highlights

Mostly admired throughout the grappling / BJJ community for his prodigious submission grappling, “The Danaher Death Squad” member and pioneer Gaary Tonan recently made his MMA debut. While the grappling of the young 26 year old was “as expected”, his footwork and striking were surprisingly developed.

Tonon has won numerous Submission Only tournaments, namely the Eddie Bravo Invitational or EBI as well as some of the besting many of the best submission grapplers and BJJ practitioners on the planet. His lineage, not so different from my own, is Tom Deblasse to John Danaher to Renzo Gracie.
