Chael Sonnen: "This was GSP's worst performance, and he still left as Champion"

This was GSP’s worst performance: Chael Sonnen

After a 4 year layoff, GSP returned to the UFC to face the champion, Michael Bisping. And the former welterweight champion showed everyone why he is the greatest mixed martial arts fighter in history.

Chel P Sonnen gives us his thoughts on the main event fight at UFC 217 this past weekend. As Georges St Pierre returned to capture the UFC middleweight title, after 4 years away from competition. And according to Chael this was the worst GPS we have ever seen. And yet, he still managed to win the fight and take home the title.

It just goes to prove how high a level St Pierre was and is, even after such a long time away from competition. And now he has the task of defending the 18lb title against the interim champion Robert Whitaker.

No one and done as was eluded to in the pre-fight back and forth. Georges is contracted to defend his title against the number one challenger in the division Whittaker. With the current state of affairs as it is. We should more than likely see the two face off before Summer 2018.

And the new UFC middleweight champion of the world Georges “Rush” St Pierre. It’s like you never left…
