The Reem S4 | Episode 04: Overeem and Crew on Tour
Lets’ join UFC heavyweight Alistair Overeem between UFC 209, where he faced Mark Hunt. And UFC 213, when The Reem will once again go toe to toe with his old foe Fabricio Werdum. He visits his home base in Miami Florida, getting in some hours on his flying licence. Who knew? Then it’s off to Dubai for a pre-training camp. Where Team Overeem are joined by Pride veteran and former opponent Sergei Kharitonov. Just thinking back to their first match in Pride. And the one thing which stands out was Overeem landing multiple unanswered knees to Kharitonov, who was unable to escape his position. He walked away with a broken forearm for good luck.
Newly signed UFC fighter, World kickboxing Champion Gokhan Saki also makes a guest appearance. Singing words of praise for his former Golden Glory teammate who he feels will win in his fight with Werdum. The trip ends with a visit to a local school where the kids go nuts for the heavyweight veteran.
Anyway, next it’s on to Dallas to watch UFC 211 were Miocic fights JDS for the Heavyweight title. We get to hear from Demetrious Johnson who gives his thoughts on the main event. We also get to hear from the Champ Stipe Miocic and challenger Dos Santos before they step into the cage. As well as the former women’s bantamweight champion and fellow JacksonWink fighter, Holly Holm. We also visit the location of the JFK assassination, as Overeem is a huge history nut. Plus a fan meet and greet where the fans come out in force.
