Vasyl Lomachenko Is A Glitch In The Matrix vs Rigondeaux?

Vasyl Lomachenko vs Romulo Koasicha, Rigondeaux Up Next?

Outside the upcoming Canelo Alvarez vs GGG Gennady Golovkin super fight scheduled to take place September 16th. There are very few other huge matchups for boxing purists currently on the horizon. Sure we have the rumoured Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko rematch. Or Joshua against the returning heavyweight champion of the World, recovering fat lad Tyson Fury. But super fight wise, the immediate future looks somewhat Spartan. Step in Vasyl Lomachenko who currently holds both the featherweight and lightweight titles for the WBO.

Having become the fastest boxer to win titles in two weight divisions. “Hi-Tech” is an anomaly in the sport, having a style and work rate that has won him an army of fans across the world. Only 9 fights to date in his professional career to date. With one of those being a loss against Orlando Salido in his second outing. Since that, Lomachecko has looked like an unstoppable force. With seasoned fighters falling like domino’s as Lomachecko makes them look in many cases, average at best. Who or what next for the Ukranian phenom?

Well, one fighter who seems to think he has what it takes is Guillermo Rigondeaux. The Cuban is looking to solidify his own standing as many pundits number one p4p boxer. At 36 The Jackal may not have many more years at the very top. And already having espoused his personal belief that he doesn’t get the respect he deserves. In his eyes, it seems as though the Lomachecko fight is the fight that will earn him the very respect his seeks.

With Rigondeaux’s own coach Pedro Diaz hinting that a fight against the Ukrainian makes the most sense!

Now all that has to happen is for Rigondeaux to jump up two weight classes. While Lomachecko drops a few pounds, for the two dazzling pugilists to meet somewhere in the middle. So pretty straight forward then? Will it happen, we sure do hope so! But for now, we may just have to be content with some footage of Hi-Tech vs Romulo Koasicha to wet our appetite.
